I am searching for Walter M.(Marion) Elam, born August 1849 in Morgan County Kentucky to Walter Walker Elam and Eleanor Catherine Wheeler. He married Emily Johnson August 2, 1864. They had the following children: Gilley Ann, Lou Ida, Louise Elsie, Henry Clay, Ann, Green L., John H., Harlan Wesley, Nellie Jane, Barbara M., and Robert C. Elam.
Walter M. was in Grant Township, Custer County, Oklahoma Territory in the 1900 census. At the time he was married to Mary Ellen Day Johnson. They had the following children: Ernest Menifee, Warren Ace, Honer Scott, Jennie Elizabeth and Homer Elam. Also living with them were Mary Ellen two daughters from her marriage to Matthew Johnson Esther Johnson and Mattie Johnson.
Walter M. married this Esther Johnson sometime after 1900. They were in the 1910 census for Waldon Township, Grady County, Oklahoma and the 1920 census for Vincent Township, Grady County, Oklahoma. Walter M. and Esther had the following children: Bertha, James Earl, Bill, Walter Lee, Huley, Grace, Ed, Tony and Salley.
Wlater M. died December 31, 1926 in Ninnekah, Grady County, Oklahoma and is buried there. I have no idea what happened to Esther Elam.
