Hello,
Our local history group in Custer County takes care of an 1 room log cabin that was owned by the Blair family & there is one of the girls still living here. She lives in Weatherford. Email me at kddresser@htswireless.com
I can put you in touch with her.
The cabin was moved into town several years ago for the bi centennial & the placed downtown across from the Weatherford Post office.
The Custer Co. Master Gardener's have maintained a heirloom planting beds around the cabin & a few years ago we had Bob Palmer & his students come paint a mural on the wall behind the cabin. It is a neat 3-D mural with a riverbed coming out of the wall into the gardens below.
We will be adding new chinking to the cabin this fall.
It is over 100 years old. Thought to be a early day trapper's cabin. The Blair family moved into it & had lived there for many years.
It is a wonderful bit of Okla. History.
