Mrs. Anna Phillips ..In Memorium...The Leedey (Oklahoma) Times, Thursday, November 30, 1922, Front Page, Column 3...
Mrs. Anna Phillips, daughter of W. N. Green and Mrs. Sallie Green, was born in Mississipi January the 17, 1872.
She moved to Texas when about 7 years of age, at the age of 16, she was married to Jessie Payton Phillips, to this union was born 13 children, 6 boys and 7 girls, who are all living.
She came to Oklahoma in 1889, where she resided until her death. Mrs. Phillips professed religion at the age of 14, and joined the Baptist Church, and has since lived a christian life, as well as a kind, loving, and true mother, until death which came to her last Sunday at the Clinton Hospital.
This dear mother leaves many friends and relatives to mourn her death.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon by the Pator, Rev. E. B. Davis, interment at Shirley Cemetery.
Card of Thanks...We take this method of extending our heartfelt thanks to those who so kindly assisted us in our recent trial, the death and burial of our beloved wife and mother. J. P. Phillips and family

This family is in the Day, Dewey County, Oklahoma census on June 25, 1900. Jessie Phillips is listed as 35 yrs old, bon Dec 1869 in North Carolina. He is a stock raiser. Has been married for 12 years. Anna T. is 28 yrs old, born January 1872 in Mississippi. She has given birth to 10 childen and 10 are living. Their children listed on 1900 census are Sarah born Oct 1888 in Texas; Collie (Callie) daughter, born October 1889 in Texas; Ethel, April 1891 in Indian Territory (OK); Emmet, son, April 1893, born Indian Territory; Homer, born January 1897 in Oklahoma; and Oscar born June 1898 in Oklahoma. Oscar Green, brother in law, born Jan 1879 in Texas, 21 yrs old and single is living with the family. He is a farm laborer.

Day County was dissolved in 1907 and it became a part of Roger Mills County and Ellis County. I found Homer W. Phillips buried in the Shirley Cemetery. He died November 11, 1928. Also Chester A. Kirbie (Ethel's husband) is buried here, too. He died April 28, 1913.

They are in Bar X Township, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma on April 26, 1910 when the census was taken for that year. In 1910 they have these children added to the family...Omega, dau, 9 years old born Oklahoma; Clarence, son, 7 yrs. old, born OK; Ruby, dau, 5 yrs old, born OK; Ruby, dau, 5 yrs old, born OK; and John, son, 1 yr old, born OK. Ethel and her husband Arthur Kirbie are listed next to her parents.

I have not been able to find this family in the 1920 census..however, her obituary says she has lived here for some time until her death.

I have much more information and I can send you these census records as an attachment to email if you would like to have them. If you will send me your email address, I'll be glad to share all the information I have.
