My grand father and mother and my father lived in Eldorado, Ok from about 1906 until after the Census was taken in 1910. The Census of 1910 records that they owned their home on C Street. I have a picture of that house with my great grandfather Brown standing at the gate. It looks as if the area was rather rural in 1910. I would like to know if that house is still standing and if anyone there would be interested in a copy of the picture in order for them to see if the house is still there. I would be glad to e-mail a copy of the picture privately to anyone interested. Or the picture maybe viewed on my website http://www.hallfamilygen.com by clicking or selecting the link "Brown" Since they owned their own home the deed would probably be recorded at the courthouse and I would like some information on how to get a copy if there is a deed and how much money should I send to the courthouse and the address. He also owned a jewelry store in Eldorado also shown on the Brown page just follow the link "Jewelry Store." I do not know if he rented the building there and just sold merchandise from a rented building or if he owned the building. The picture is of the interior of the store and there there is one local man in that picture who worked in the store. William E (Ed) was 42, William E Brown, She was 41 Mary E. and dad, Edward H. was 7. He was in the Masonic Lodge while there and I have a very old faded picture of all the Masonic Lodge working in the field of an ill Mason. I would be glad to forward a copy of it if any one is interested. I have not posted it up yet but I will try to get it up soon Ed Brown Notify Administrator about this message?
