On the 1800 Census for Union County, South Carolina, there is a John Kirby (age 45 and over)listed. Also, listed: Boland, William, and Francis (all listed as 26 to 45 years). I feel that these are John's sons.Does anyone know if this is true? Does anyone know if any of these people had a son named James? My line is James Kirby, born about 1790, Virginia and died about 1862, Union County, South Carolina. He would have been about 9 or 10 at the time of the 1800 Census for, Union County, South Carolina. I am trying to find his father, so that I can continue my search. Right now, I seem to be stuck and need some help!!!!!! My line goes like this: James Kirby Sr. (GGGG Grand-father) Born - about 1790, Virginia Died - 1862, Union County, South Carolina Spouse - Sarah (last name unknown to me), born about 1801, in South Carolina.
