I am looking for information on the following people: Christopher Columbus Cheek, his first wife, Mary E. Sanders, his second wife, ? Jenkins; his children: William Coleman Cheak, Charles Cheak, Edna Cheak, Effie Cheak, Essie Cheak, Addie Cheak, Katy Cheak, Maude Cheak, Lena Cheak, Ola Mae Cheak, Homer Arvil Cheak, Pearl Cheak, and Belle Cheak. Also searching for information on William Webster Bates and wife, Florence Armanda Staggs and children: Albert Bates, Willia Lea Bates and spouse Green Fred Daniell, Jesse Earl Bates, Ada Pearl Bates, Nora Minnie Bates, Chancy C. Bates, Robert Webster Bates and spouse Esta Helms and Beaulah Beatrice Bates and spouse William Irving Chenault. All of these people were probably living in Jackson County sometime between 1890 and 1930 (or later). We know that CHristopher Columbus Cheek, wife Mary, and daughter Pearl were buried in the Altus Cemetery, and think that other siblings were buried there also. Anyone have this cemetery information, or other mention of these folks names in history books or records? Thanks!
