Would love to correspond with descendants of this family. Known kin connections that we would like to flesh out are
William Eagleton Dyer & wife Mary Belzora "Bell" Walker
J M Dyer & wife Mary A. LNU (John M or James M, please?)
99% positive these are some of his first cousins on the Walker side, and wanting proof absolute:
Mary Jane Mahaffey
...1st wife of Samuel Taylor Bonifield
Mary Rebecca Walker
...1st husband Isiah Wells
...2nd husband Samuel Taylor Bonifield, widower of Mary
......Jane Mahaffey
William Wright
In 1955, Samuel Knox Bonifield collected the information necessary for a delayed Texas birth certificate. J. M. Dyer of Waurika, Oklahoma was informant for this delayed birth certificate. J. M. Dyer swore an affidavit as informant that he knew that Samuel Knox Bonifield was the son of Samuel Taylor Bonifield and Mary Jane Mahaffey, that Samuel Knox Bonifield was born in Wise Co., Texas in 1881, and that he, J. M. Dyer, had had knowledge of this birth at the time that it occurred. J. M. Dyer swore the particular affidavit where the informant could be kin to the person needing the delayed birth certificate through blood or marriage. Given the birth year of Samuel Knox Bonifield, it had to have been J. M. Dyer the elder who had 'knowledge of the event at the time it occurred'. And was it J. M Dyer the father or J. M. Dyer the son who wrote "History of Jefferson County, Oklahoma"? Thank you.
