I am making a trip to Jefferson County sometime in the next 8-10 weeks. I have three cemetaries I want to visit - Addington, Hastings, Ryan. I know I can find the cemetaries and I know the names of the persons that I will be looking for (they are listed on the Jefferson County Cemetery Archives page as being buried in each).
I want to take photos of the headstones. So here is my question. In each of the towns, which office keeps the cemetery records (i.e., plots #s, how to find the grave). Or does a person just have to walk the cemetery to find the headstones?
From my research in Oklahoma I know that cemetery record (plot #s) are kept by water departemnts, police departments, individuals, county commissioners, cemetery assocaition, etc).
It sure would make things simpler if I knew who was the keeper of the records before I get there.

I am not looking to see if they are buried there, but am LOOKING TO FIND THE PERSON WHO CAN TELL ME THE LOCATION OF THE GRAVE IN THE CEMETERY.
