Okay, I was at the Oklahoma Historical Society reading newspapers out of Jefferson County for a project I am working on so I looked up your people I found an obituary for Stanley H. Bonds. I will transcribe it below. It seems they lived at between Ryan and Terral. I looked for a death notice for Sallie Bonds but found nothing. I looked in the Waurika and Ryan papers. Since Stanley Bonds was buried in Nacona, TX, it very well may be that she died in Nacona (even though she lived in Ryan). It was not uncommon for persons to go across the Red River to a hospital in Texas. Obituary - S. H. Bond Funeral services for Stanley Hugh Bond, 80, were conducted in the United Methodist Church of Ryan Friday, June 9, at 2:00 p.m. The pastor, the Rev. W. D. Milburn, officiated. He was assisted by John Baker, a local minister. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery under direction of Grantham Funeral Home of Ryan. Casket bearers were D. L. Nash, C. B. Barrett, Hugh Weatherly, Ernest Browning, Bob Dunham, P. John Wright and W. C. Johnston. He was born May 5, 1892 in Eagle Point near Nacona to Joseph and Ellen Bond. He grew to manhood here. On June 5, 1914 he was united in marriage to Miss Sallie Manesco of Nacona. To this union was born one son named Gill. Mr. Bond died at 7:30 Wedensday morning June 7, following a stroke a few hours before. Soon after marriage, the Bonds moved to the Fleetwood-Terral area where they were engaged in farming and stockraising. Later Mr. Bond and the late Bill Weatherly operated a grocery business in Ryan. After retiring from this business he and his son and Mrs. Bond farmed and raised cattle on their ranch between Ryan and Terral. He was a mamber of the Ryan United Methodist Church and a member of the Terral Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his wife, Sallie, and son, Gill, of the home, two brothers, Joe of West Columbia, Texas, and Wade of Bowie. Notify Administrator about this message?
