Hello Liz, Cornish newspapers had several different names over the years. My Daddy was a lifelong genealogist and 34 years ago he trained me, of course he had total recall, that really helps. Since I found out that the Lyle family descends from the Scottish King, Kenneth McAlpin, Roy insisted that I call him "Your Highness", but, "Lord Lyle" is all he gets. We lived in Midwest City for 22 years, and Daddy and I were at The Oklahoma Historical Society's library every time we had a spare minute, plus all the other states we went to. He died 25 Sep 1988 and I was devastated, it took me awhile to start researching again. Are you going to The Ringling Alumni banquet this year? Did you know The Marietta Monitor, before statehood ,every week published every marriage in Pickens County, Chickasaw Nation? They have a copy of these in one book at The Ardmore Library, I copied the whole thing a few years back. They are about to condemn my house as a health hazard. I keep hard hats stacked by my front door for all who enter to don as they come in the front door. One of my smart aleck nieces got me a sign that says:"ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK" and one that says:"IT'S MY MESS AND I LOVE IT". But I have my Daddy's lifetime genealogical collection, plus all he and I did on our families and all my research on the Lyle, Davis, Holt and Acuff Families. But I do have little trails for Lord Lyle all through the house. Notify Administrator about this message?
