I'm sorry I can't help you much as I was born right before we left Mountain Home and then moved to Lone Grove. I did check with my brother who is 7 years older than I. He says he doesn't believe it burned before we left or that would surely have been something that he would have remembered.I assume we left at the end of the school year in 1938 whenever that was back then. We lived in the teacherage just to the west of the school. I would think he would have remembered about it also if he had heard about it after we left. I assume that date is correct - we just don't know anything about it. I think I have one picture taken in front of the school if that would be anything that you could use.
