Thanks for your time. I should have posted this. The library was kind enough to send me some news items for Jack, his wife Clara (HAIRGRAVE?) and a note about the passing of Jack's father in St. Louis, MO.

However I do not know the name of the newspaper.

OBIT: Ponca City, OK, 2 Oct 1978 Jack SOLTZ Dies Following Illness. Jack Soltz, 314 1/2 North Ninth, died at 11:20 Saturday night in St. Joseph Medical Center wehre he had been admitted Sept. 20. He had been in failing health for some time. Born April 9, 1897, in St. Louis, Mo., he received his education in the St. Louis schools. During World War I, he served in the U.S. Army and following his discharge, owned and operated an Army-Navy store in Wichita. He married Miss Clara C. HAIRGRAVE in Ponca City and the couple established their first home here. The couple owned and operated Vogue Ready-to-Wear Shop for 15 years. After selling his business, he traveled, representing different ready-to-wear firms. He was a member of the Emanuel Temple, Moose Lodge 1031, VFW Post 1201, Pioneer Chapter 47 of Disabled American Veterans. He had received his 55-year membership pin with the DAV. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Bud (Paygie) WHISER, Beverly Hills, Calif. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on May 21, 1960, a brother and three sisters. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Grace Memorial Chapel of the Chimes with Cantor Irwin Green of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery under direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. The family will be at the Holiday Inn, Room 100.

A memorial fund has been established with Temple Emanuel for Jack SOLTZ who died Saturday night in St. Joseph Medical Center. Those wishing to honor his memory may make contributions to Jack SOLTZ Memorial at Temple Emanual, P.O. Box 1081, Ponca City. Funeral service was to [be] this morning in Grace Memorial Chapel of the Chimes with Cantor Irwin Green of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial was to be in Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery. SOLTZ, owner and operator of Vogue Ready-to-Wear Shop for 15 years, was a 55-year member of Disable American Veterans, member of Emanuel Temple, Moose Lodge 1031 and VFW Post 1201. He is survived by a sister. His Parents, wife, a brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral service for Jack SOLTZ, former owner of Vogue Ready-to-Wear Shop here, were conducted Tuesday morning in Grace Memorial Chapel of the Chimes with Cantor Irwin Green of Oklahoma City officiating. Casketbearers were Melvin GOLDENSTERN, Charles STOLPER, Martin FELSENTHAL, Abe LEE, Bob FRACTMAN and Natha LEE. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established with Temple Emanuel for Jack SOLTZ and those wishing to honor his memory may make contributions to the Jack SOLTZ Memorial at Temple Emanuel, P.O. Box 1081, Ponca City.

OBIT: Ponca City, OK, 22 May 1960, Clara Soltz Funeral Slated for Tuesday. Rosary for Mrs. Clara SOLTZ, 60, will be recited at 7:30 tonight in the chapel of the Grace Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph McGURK as celebrant. Pallbearers will be Fred HODDY, Don NIEMANN, T.N. FARHA, Lewis CHOUTEAU, Charles COFFMAN and Edwin SUGGS. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. SOLTZ, the wife of Jack SOLTZ, 914 North Fourth, died Saturday morning at the Ponca City Hospital. She had been a resident of Ponca City since 1926 and was a member of the Gladioli Garden Club. The family has suggested that person wishing to honor the memory of Mrs. SOLTZ may do so by making a contribution to the expansion fund of the Ponca City Hospital.

OBIT: Ponca City, 3 Mar 1946, Father of Ponca Citian Succumbs in St. Louis. Word was received here Saturday of the death late Friday of Solomon SOLTZ, of St. Louis, Mo., 92-year-old father of Jack SOLTZ, owner of the Vogue shop. The elder SOLTZ had been in good health until about a month ago when he became ill. Last week SOLTZ was called to his side when his father's condition became critical. He is survived by the widow, three daughters and two sons. Funeral services will be conducted in St. Louis this afternoon. The Vogue was closed at 6 p.m. Saturday but will be open for business again Monday morning.
