Charlene,

Thank you for all the infomation. The reason I wrote my inquiry was that my great grandfather was Sheriff William Wayne Painter mainly of Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma from 1889 to 1902. So I guess you would say he was Sheriff of Oklahoma Territory. My grandfather Harrison William Painter and his brother Ferdinand Morgan Painter were his deputies at one point during the 1890's. Anyway thank you for the menu of events. My son, grandson and other family members will want to be there for the events of the 100 years. My father was named after his grandfather. We live in California.
