A little bit of information about Daughtry name in my records.
My grand parents, Rufus P. Key and Josie Ward Martin Lackey
were married in Thackerville, Love County, IT on Jan. 12, 1904 by Daughtry whom signed their certificate. You can find it on file at the court house there. Daughtry must have been a minister or J.P.
I will tell you that my grandparents were both married before, my grand father's first marriage is unknown, my grandmother married a Nathaniel Lackey, they had one child named Ara Mintie Lackey, b. Jan. 10, 1902.
I also had Martin family in the area at the time, may have been on the Texas side of the Red river. Family says that Rufus P. Key operated the ferry at that location.
