I am seeking information on a grade school that was in Checotah in 1920. Can anyone tell me the name of the school and a little history of the community? My grandmother, Winnie Haines, had her first teaching assignment here after graduating from East Central State in Ada. Also, is Brewer nearby? I have an old class photo in which one child is holding a basketball with the year 1920 painted on it and my grandmother is in the photo. Thanks Richard
