my father, estranged to me, is donald edward maples born 11-9-1946, has one known living (full blood from both mother and father) sibling Wanda Maples (married name unknown). Two deceased siblings (half siblings?) died in childhood. His father was estranged to him. Father's given name is unknown, family name Maples, rumored to be in the NorthWest with twin daughters, younger than my father, names unknown. Donald Edward now resides in Oklahoma City, OK. His mother is Ruby Hazel Long, born in 1916, with a recorded address in Tecumseh, OK. She is also estranged to me. She may still be living as no death records I can find. Ruby's Mother is Theresa Mae Long (Married name), resided in Tuttle OK. Born 12, Nov. 1892, Died 4, Dec. 1991. Her parents, siblings, maiden name are unknown.
I desire to trace this family lineage.. and living relatives refuse to speak of what occured. I know Ruby was married to her husband, and divorced. What is the deep dark family secret? How do I proceed to find geneological info? I know nothing of my father's side! (I am new to this, and am happy to find info on my great grandmother thus far!!Any advice or info?
