I think the following may be your family. I know someone named Theresa who goes by the name Ressie which may be a common nickname for Theresa. Everett might be Edward E. Johnston.

1930 United States Federal Census
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma
G M Johnston 37 head m w md at 17 VA VA VA watchman in packing plant
Ressie Johnston 37 wife f w md at 17 TN TN TN
Elsie Johnston 18 dau f w TN VA TN
Edith Johnston 16 dau f w TN VA TN
Everett Johnston 15 son m w KY TN? TN
Hazel Johnston 13 dau f w KY VA TN
Mary B Johnston 11 dau f w KY VA TN

This is wild speculation but I think that the G M Johnston above is the Grant Matthew Johnston below. A lot more work needs to be done to prove it. I can't find them anywhere on the 1920 census.

World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918
Name: Grant Matthew Johnston
City: Hazelpatch
County: Laurel
State: Kentucky
Birthplace: Pennington Gap?, Virginia;United States of America
Birth Date: 10 Aug 1892
Race: White
Occupation: farming, self employed
Dependents: wife and 4 children
Physical description: medium height, medium build, blue eyes, black hair

1910 United States Federal Census
Civil District 6, Claiborne, Tennessee
Thomas J Johnston 44 head m w md1 23y VA VA VA farmer
America Johnston 43 wife f w md1 6ch 5liv VA VA VA
Grant M Johnston 17 son m w VA VA VA farm laborer
Marion P Johnston 15 son m w VA VA VA farm laborer
Emer M Johnston 10 son m w VA VA VA
Magie m Johnston 5 dau f w VA VA VA

There's a family tree on Rootsweb's World Connect for this Johnston family. Hopefully it will turn out to be your family.
