I am researching my family tree, and I have hit a brick wall. My great grandparents were Henry Wiley Sanders and Laura L. Gilmore. They were married somewhere around 1887. My great grandparents were Susan Collins and Levi Lindsey Sanders (born 2/21/1837). My great great grandparents were Elaine Sugg and Benjamin Sanders.
Where I hit the brick wall is at Laura Gilmore. Laura Gilmore was the mother of my grandmother, Mae (May) Sanders. I have always been told that my grandmother, Mae, was born on a reservation in Oklahoma and does not have a birth certificate. When Laura Gilmore died, my grandmother (Mae) was an infant. My grandmother, Mae, was adopted by her aunt, Emma Craft. I can not find any information on Laura Gilmore. I can not really find my heritage without this information.
