Galveston Daily News Galveston, Texas Friday, July 23, 1886 Horse Thieves Captured Greenville, July 22: Yesterday evening Deputy U. S. Marshal LUM JOHNSON of this city, and Dr. YARBROUGH of Red Bird, Chickasaw Nation, brought in GEORGE JUNTER / GUNTER, JOHN DAILEY, and CHRIS. GRAN, charged with horse stealing in the Indian Territory. The parties were arrested in Plum Prairie, near Haldton, I. T. (Healdton, I. T.)…. Some weeks ago LATE MINER, another horse thief, was arrested in Indian Territory and turned over to Deputy U. S. Marshal LEMAN. While being taken with several others to Fort Smith, Miner escaped. A few days since he was arrested at Courtney Flats by PUN THOMPSON and several citizens and found to be badly wounded in the hind part of the hip. Miner was brought to this city and this morning taken to Sherman. Notify Administrator about this message?
