Looking for any kind of information about Maria Marcos (aka Mary Marcus).
Birth: Born 1915 in Texas to Mexican parents, Ben and Jospehine (Josefina). Her obit states she was born in Marfa, Texas, but there is no record of that. According to hearsay she was born in Laredo, Texas.
1930 census, Justice Precinct 6, Presidio County, Texas: She is listed as being 17, single, Mexican, and a farm cook. Does anyone know which family she lived with?
Is John Clement Benson on the same page of the census record?
Marriage: She married John Clement Benson in 1930 or so. That may have been in either Presidio County or Brewster County. According to family stories they met in Alpine, Texas.
May 1931: They were living in Wakita, Grant County, Oklahoma.
Death: Maria died in 1992. I have this information on record.
