My father's birth certificate says that my grandfather John William Heard was born in Cleburne, Johnson, Texas. 1907/1908. I'm not sure who his sister was, but she would write and read his letters, as he was unable. John is also 1/8 Cherokee. The 1930 census, indicates that his father was born in Texas and his mother was born in Oklahoma, John was a farm laboror. Married Mary Modell Goodson in 1927/28 and first child was born in 1929 in Love, County, Oklahoma. My father was born in Geary, Canadian, OK in 1933. If anyone has information as to his parents, sibs etc. I would love to know.
