Newspaper Clipping…probably from Scottsbluff NE paper Ralph Geis Ralph Geis, 63, a former resident of Gering, died at a hospital in Colorado Springs, CO, Tues evening. He was born April 6, 1906 at Okeene, Okla. He moved with his parents to LaSalle, Colo in 1915 and attended school there and in Fort Collins. He moved to a farm south of Gering in 1926. He was married to Geneva McFarland on Feb 17, 1928 in LaSalle. They farmed near Gering following their marriage until moving to Colorado Springs in 1966. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scottsbluff and had served on the Cedar Valley School Board. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Gregg of Loveland, Colo., and Neale with the United States Air Force in Germany; four daughters; Mrs. Glen (Jean) Putman of Guernsey, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Lou) Swenson of Colorado Spring, Mrs. Leroy (Barbara) Vagneur of Durango, Colo., and Mrs. Johnny (Sharon) Foos of Gering; four brothers, Dave of Long Beach, Calif., Herbert of Silverton, Wyo., Ivan of Gering and Harvey of Lincoln; two sisters, Mrs Rachel Vogel of Hot Springs, SD and Mrs. Minnie Geis of Greeley, Colo., nine grand children and two great grand children. He was preceded in death by one son and one sister. Funeral services are pending at the Boley-Dennis Funeral Home. ………….
