Thank you Connie for the input. I believe I have located Pvt. Edwards this morning after finding a Wilburn H. Edwards interred in the Five Mile Creek Cemetery near Allen, Oklahoma. He is buried by his mother,Addie which matches the name in the 1900 and 1920 census (1910 Letta A.) and his father N.F. (Newton, but the F. is mentioned in the notice of the sons death of wounds in the Gainesville Dailey Register 11-11-1918 and by initial in the 1930 census and probable handwriting misintrpretation in 1900 Census (T.). The listing also shows buried nearby is Newton's brother in law who appeared as a neighbor in the 1920 census and a house resident in the 1930 census.
The web listing shows a cemetery entry as a born date as
10-05-1918. That date is the date of death due to wounds in the Argonne forest to Private 1 c Wilburn H.(Haskell) Edwards, Co H 59th Inf.
Thanks for the help
