There were no obituaries for Jim Hawkins in the microfilm newspapers in the Stillwater Library.

At the Payne County Courthouse, there appears to be no Payne County marriages for the names you gave. The Hawkins marriages at Payne County are Alfred, Caflos Ray, Frank Sam, Harold Lee, Jason Clarence, Jeffrey Clark, Jenneth, John Douglas, John Elvin III, Melvin L., Phillip Rodney, Richard, Richard Wayne, Roger Lee, Ronald Earl, Terry Trent, Thomas Haywood, Verle B., and William Lewis.

J. H. Hawkins did not make the land run. His first property in Payne County was 76 and 45/100 acres South East of Yale in Eagle Township, at Range 6E, Town 32, Section 19N and can be found in Payne County Deed Record book 14, page 556, where Warren F. Christie, single, sold the 2 lots and SE of SW1/4 for $2000 and was recorded on 12 March 1904. This land was sold to Vida M. Tull on 3 Sept. 1915 for $100 and can be found in Payne County deed record book 41, page 254. Later in 1918, they purchased NW Qts, Section 20, Township 19N, Range 6E. The initial property had oil leases which were assigned.
