Although there were no obituaries for Samantha, Lowell (missing 31 Oct 1918 issue on microfilm), nor Jim Hawkins, there were these "Cards of Thanks".
From "The Yale Record" newspaper, Yale, Ok, Thursday, June 14, 1917, page 1, col. 1--signed by "J. H. Hawkins & family, Mrs. T.J. Salisbury & daughter, Mr. & Mrs. A.D. Dunmire of Chandler, Mr. & Mrs. M.M. Holmes & daughter of Tulsa, Mrs. J.J. Willimson of Chanute Kansas."
The Card of Thanks of Thursday, Nov. 7, 1918 only had Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hawkins.
