From the "Stillwater News-Press" newspaper, Stillwater, OK, Monday, October 8, 1962, page 2, col. 5--
"Rites on Wed. For Stephenson
Funeral services will be Wednesday for Earl Stephenson, 55, who died Saturday at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Stephenson made his home at 207 1/2 E. Ninth, Stillwater.
Rev. Marlin Emmons will officiate at services scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Strode Funeral Home chapel.
Stephenson was born Feb. 28, 1907, at Kansas City, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ida Pierce, 207 1/2 E. Ninth, and his stepfather, Loren Pierce, west of Stillwater."

From the "Stillwater News-Press" newspaper, Stillwater, OK, Wednesday, Dec. 7, 1977, page 2, cols. 4 & 5-
"Ida Pierce Services Are Slated Thursday
Ida Pierce, 207 1/2 E. Ninth, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1977, in Stillwater Municipal Hospital. She was 88.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Strode Chapel with Rev. Leo Bowers officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, with Strode Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pierce was born, Jan. 24, 1889, in Missouri, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Mary Moore. She married Lorn Pierce in Yale on March 15, 1927. He died in 1963. She lived in the Stillwater area since her marriage.
She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Stephenson.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ollie Herd, Broken Arrow; and a brother-in-law, Francis Pierce, Glencoe."
