There were no deeds nor miscellaneous records for Charles/Sadie Briggs in Payne County, OKlahoma.

From the Payne County marriage record, page 193, Charles Briggs of Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, born Kansas, married 16 year old Sadie Evans, of Stillwater, O.T. with father, Wm Evans giving permission. Married by Walter Spence, Pastor Congregation Church of Stillwater on January 2, 1899.

They can be found in the 1900 U.S. Census, in the Cherokee Nation, Township 25, District 11, page 2B. Charles Briggs, born Kansas, father Indiana, and mother Illinois. They are listed there, too. Sadie Evans, born Ohio, father Ohio, mother Ohio.

There are no burials nor Stroud Funeral Home records (Stillwater), nor old obituaries for William Evans in Payne County.

There is a boarder William Evans, born Ohio, living with daughter, Emma Crain, Oklahoma, Lincoln County, Osage.
