From the "Stillwater News Press" newspaper, Stillwater, OK, June 4, 1995, page A2-- [copy was very blurry] Lawrence Fleming CUSHING-Services for Lawrence "Buzz" Fleming, 78, longtime Cushing resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, at Fairlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Wand---, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home. He died Thursday, June 1, 1995, at his residence. Fleming was born June 12, 1906, in Kingfisher, son of Glenn and Anita Lawrence Fleming and was reared and educated in the Cushing and Drumright area. On Nov. 19, 19--, he married Helen Wheeler in Cushing and the couple had lived here since that time. Fleming had worked for Kerr McGee Refinery for more than 30 years prior to his retirement. He then worked for Charles DX Station for more than 13 years before working for Gayley Motor Company for more than three years, retiring in March 1991. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike Fleming of Houston, Texas; Gerald Fleming of Arlington, Va, and David Fleming of the home; Also, one brother, Thomas Green and his wife Deloris of Denver, Colo., one sister, Mildred of California, several nieces, nephews and other relatives."
