Riley, Raleigh, or Rolly Martin was jailed in the Choctaw County Oklahoma jail at 12 years old. The 1910 census confirms that he was jailed. He was born in La. Sept 1896.
The story that I was told is that he shot at a Revenue Officer for coming back on his property after being warned not to return. The Officer was looking into liquor stills in the Kiamichi Mts. His parents were Dave and Marthie Martin (died abt.1907). They were born in N.C. His sibling were Addie Lee Jacobs Martin Carter, Minnie Lee Martin Gardner, Oliver Martin aka Jack ?, Ella Martin Thomas, and Florence Martin Lindsay aka Ruby. Does anyone know this story? Or something similar? I have hit a dead end with finding him after 1910. Thanks Beverly
