My great aunt May J. (Mamie) Miller, b. abt. 1878 KY, married William H. Allen Aug. 29, 1898 in Ohio Co., KY. they had the following children:
George D. Allen, b. abt. 1899 KY
Calton? D. Allen, b. abt. 1900 KY
Ernest E. (Red) Allen, b. abt. 1902 KY
William Lee Allen, b. abt. 1909 KY
Gladys Dean Allen, b. June 4, 1912 KY.
William H. Allen was born about 1858 in KY. He was the son of David C. Allen and Ellen Adeline Stewart. He was first married to Hannah A. Raley Feb. 2, 1885, Ohio Co., KY. Hannah died in 1896. They had two children that I know of:
Myrtle Allen, b. 1886 KY
Shelby Allen, b. abt. 1895 KY
In 1910 William and Mamie were still in Ohio Co, KY. At some point after that they moved to OK, where Aunt Mamie died around 1918. I don't know where in OK they lived, but it may have been around Tuskahoma. Aunt Mamie's brother, William Solon Miller, was in Tuskahoma, OK in 1930, and may have been there before that. He died in 1970 in Poteau, OK. He was married to Florence Nichols Milligan.
I would like to know where and when Uncle Will and Aunt Mamie died and where they are buried. I would also like any information on their children. I know that cousin Ernest (Red) was in CO in the 1930's and '40's. He married Luzetta (Johnnie) Liggett in 1935 in Elbert Co., CO. They later divorced. Cousin Gladys maried at least twice, once to a Mr. Hollins and once to a Mr. Sousa. She died in 1979 in San Bernardino Co., CA.
