J.J. Webb was deputy sheriff Pushmataha County in 1912. The sheriff was C.E. Stephenson in 1912. I have been told that J. J. Webb was sheriff sometime between 1923 and 1926. I need proof can anyone help me?
J.J. Webb was my husbands father. J. J. Webb's son Don told me he helped put up his Dad's horse when he would come in after being out on the job. J.J. Webb's wife told me they lived in the bottom of the place the prissoners were kept. I believe this to be the court house. Does anyone know if the sheriffs quarters were in the bottom floor of the court house or jail arround 1920 t0 1926?
