"Floyd 'Buster' Marine Floyd 'Buster' Marine, 79, 908 Chestnut, died Tuesday, December 4, in a nursing home after a long illness. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Pruitt officiating and the Rev. David Burum assisting. Burial will be under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Born April 28, 1905, in Duncan, Marine was supervisor of the Maintenance Department for Halliburton for 24 years. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He married Mary Jones on December 31, 1931, in Duncan. Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Helen (Mrs. Henry) Turner of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Jo (Mrs. Ronnie) Hand of Covington, Louisiana; two sisters, Alice (Mrs. A.L.) Goode and Ella (Mrs. Earl) Goleman, both of Alex; and four grandchildren Russell and Robby Turner and Christy Sullivan, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Kristian Leichtenberg of Covington, Louisiana. Bearers will be Frank Burch, Burl Cherry, Louis Chenault, Bill Clark, Dick Holland and Harold Underwood. Honorary bearers will be the men's senior adult Bible class at Immanuel Baptist Church."
