I have a picture of a "Jim & Mattie Purdy". I believe this is Martha C. Ritchey and James Allen Purdy, Martha being the sister of my 2nd great grandfather.
She was born in Missouri in February 1872, I presume as the family moved from Tennessee to Texas. They were in Montague COunty, Texas until the mid-1890s when they migrated to Greer County, Texas which became part of Oklahoma.
Jim and Mattie Purdy were in Oklahoma COunty, OK in the 1900 census but in 1910, 1920 and 1930 were in Tillman County, OK. I have found four children for them, with the two oldest children being in the photo I have. I believe these children are Pearl A. and Guy A. Purdy.
I would love to connect with anyone who might have information on this line. I have a number of family photos including a formal one of Martha's parents with siblings and spouses and children.
