The 1910 census of Grandfield, Tillman Co., OK shows: Reed Davis, Head, age 54 b. IN, Lumberman Josephine Davis, wife, age 53, b. KY Doris, DAU, 20, b. KS John, dau, 12 , b. KS Burial Records show: Josie Sanders WIFE OF REED DAVIS SANDERS 1847-1918 - plot B301. Other SAnders burials include: Clarence Sanders [1879-1918] plot B301 Suzie, wife of Clarence [1882-1918] - plot B301 Norene Sanders, dau of C&S S [1913-1918]- B301 and 2 Sanders children (no first names) bburied in plot B361 and 1 Sanders child (no first nane) buried in plot B 360. I suspect that the deaths in the Sanders family were due to the the 1918 flu epidemic. Further, I suspect Josie was the mother of Clarence and grandmother of the children. The statistics note that Josie was b. in KY. Following this lead I found the 1880 census the Census of Hardyville, Hart Co., KY included the family of George H. Sanders, age 25, b. KY, age 25, Farmer with his wife Joan, age 23, b. KY Katie Sanders, age 4 b. KY Harry Sanders, age 2 b. KY & Clarence Sanders, age 1, b. KY. Since the age patterns fit other information I conclude that Joan/Josie was the wife of George H. Sanders and mother of the Sanders children including Clarence. I have a photograph of Reed R. Davis and his family that includes Josie. The photo was taken by Reed' s brother, Prof. John Davis of the Normal School in Edmond who with his family were visiting Reed R. Davis and family. I am a grandson of Prof. John Davis and I am interested in getting the record correct. With this in mind I will aprreciate any information relating to the George H. Sanders family of Hart Co., KY Notify Administrator about this message?
