Earnest and wife, Laura Bell, moved to Sand Springs c. 1920 and, by 1930, to Tulsa. Family oral tradition affirms that Earnest was a deputy sheriff or sheriff in Sand Springs for a while. Seeking to confirm that assertion as well as obtain an obit for Earnest and for Laura.

Earnest G. McBride died 18 Sept 1935.
Laura B. McBride died 8 Sep 1946.
