It's me again, Lou Ann. I didn't see this post until after responding to your earlier one on the Springtown Cemetery. I just remembered I had made copies last week at the Will Rogers Library in Claremore, OK of another Springtown Cemetery transcription from the following book. (I've copied a description below)

"Our People and Where They Rest" - By James W. Tyner, Maxine H. Tyner and Alice Tyner Timmons. Volumes 1-8 were published by the American Indian Institute, Norman OK 1969-1973. Volumes 9-12 by Chi-ga-u Press, Muskogee OK 1976-1985. An index of cemeteries of eastern Oklahoma. Gives a short historical description of the cemeteries, location, diagram of the plots, and the names and dates from the tombstones. Each volume includes a name index.

-------

On Page 100 of one of the volumes is a list from the SPRINGTOWN CEMETERY in Wagoner County, Oklahoma showing burials of:

Henry J. MANER - 1873 to 1850
Jeff MANER - 1845 to 1905
Eva L. McCLEERY - 1876 to 1898
Belle McCLEERY - 1880 to 1897
Josephine McCLEERY - 1840 to 1896
Earl McCLARY - 1904 to 1905

I've scanned the list and can send it to you via email if you want to read it for yourself. It does not say WHEN the transcription was done but the most recent burial is 1967, if thats any clue. This cemetery is just a short ways from both (what is now) Mayes and Tulsa Counties.

At the FINDAGRAVE.com link I sent you earlier, did you see the obit on Mary McCLEERY? If not, I copied this from her interment page from the Alberty Cemetery in Mayes County:

-------------
Her obit in the May 31, 1956 Pryor "Jeffersonian" newspaper indicated she was born near Mena, Arkansas, married Dr. John R. BEGGS and they had three children. Dr. BEGGS and one child died and she moved to Coweta, Wagoner Co., OK in 1906 and married Charles McCLEERY. They had six children. Three later died. The McCLEERYs moved to Salina, Mayes Co. and then to Pryor, Mayes Co., OK.

From the obit: "The survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Meberg; Enid; Mrs. Tina McCarty and Mrs. Jessie Moore, both of Pryor; Mrs. Gladys Gordon, Kansas City, Kans; two step-daughters, Mrs. Edna Henry, Greeley, Colo.; Mrs. Nola Alvis, Ada; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Burns, Wetumka; Mrs. Sallie Harmon, Sand Springs; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren."

-----------

Once I find out just WHERE the Springtown cemetery is, I hope to go take photos of the remaining tombstones.

Here's a link to the Oklahoma GenWeb site that will give you more information on the various counties. I hope you are able to do a search for your MANERs and McCLEERYs and find more data on them:
