FOUND IT! Thanks to Gene Phillips, a Wagoner County archivist/researcher, who sent me a map: http://www.rootsweb.com/~okgenweb/okprojects/wagoner/wag-19n-16e-cem.gif Cemeteries on this map are highlighted in the color orange. Gene Phillips writes: "It is the cemetery in the lower left corner of the cemetery near the word 'Creek' in Adams Creek." The coordinates to the Springtown Cemetery are: 360532N 0953845W. On old Coweta Road (north of Coweta and east of Broken Arrow) going north, turn left at "East 48th Street." (Yes, they have recently put up signs on some of the unpaved roads) Going west on this short straight road, stop when it begins to curve to the right onto private property. You will easily see the cemetery off to the left--about a quarter mile away. It is fenced in and a neighbor told me it was just brushhogged/cleared last week. It is in a really pretty setting and looked picture perfect. It was apparent someone had gone to a lot of work recently in clearing the brush, as the area around it was quite tall with grass. There are several recent headstones and many old markers that are now unreadable. I took photos of all the grave markers and several of the cemetery from different angles (with the very curious brown cows just outside the fence). Will share photos by email upon request to any family or researchers. I also have scanned copies of pages of the burial list from Tyner's "Our People and Where They Rest" if someone wants to see the layout of the burial plots. But the listing is a few decades old. Among the many names on the headstones are: HUNT, BLACKWELL, CHILDERS, NELSON, MANER, FOSTER, PARHAM, KERNALL, WINDOM, PARTRIDGE, PITCOCK, McCLEERY, MANTOOTH, COFFELT, WOFFORD, KIRKLAND, GROVE and STARKS.
