LouAnn hello,

in most cases, a.h.t.a. in what was indian terr. would
stand for anti.horse thesves assoc. every town and community
had a chapter with local business men and farmers inthem.
adams creek area was heavy coal mining area east of
broken arrow(still called adams township on township maps)
there is a shanan church and cem. and both him and jackson
are known from that area. but i am not sure were chapter
41 was from, maybe adams creek comm. or oneta or broken arrow.

thanks tony
