Hi, I am looking for any information about my great grandmother, Nora Scott-Thornton. Her father was John Haplin Scott (b. 1851, Burke Co., NC; d. 1907, Wagoner, OK). He was married to Permelia Helsabeck. Nora was born in Wright Co. Missouri but died in Wagoner, OK. She married William Johnson Thornton/Johnson William Thornton. They had a son, Troy Johnson Thornton. As well as, Bessie Thornton-Shaplan and Albert Thornton. Any information about the Scott's of Wagoner would be appreciated. We would love to know if they were Cherokee. We were told they were but need more information. Thanks,
