In 1850 Sarah Harmon was born in Missouri. She married George Enoch Castle in about 1870. They appeared in the 1900 and 1910 census for Woods County, Oklahoma. They lived in Patterson Township. In the 1910 census, Sarah stated the her father, George Harmon, was born in Georgia and was Cherokee. George Harmon was born about 1820. He was taken in by a man named Reuben Hail of Smith County, Tennessee. Later, Hail and family moved to Greene County, Missouri. George Harmon then married Hail's daughter, Catherine Hail. I need to know the conncetion of Harmon to Reuben Hail when he took him in. I really need to know who Reuben Hail's parents were. Can you help me? Did Sarah A. Castle leave any written record about who her mother's grandparents were? Are any of her descendants stlll around? Contact me if you know anything about this family.
