On the Internet, I found a land patent record for a Samuel E Thomason dated Nov 5, 1908, referring to Woodward Co, OK. Apparently a Land Office is (or was) located there. I believe this may be a great-uncle that I have been trying to trace and know that he was in Alfalfa Co in the 1910 census. Can someone give me information on the procedure of land patents? Would his Alfalfa property have been recorded in Woodward County? How would I find out the exact location? If and when the property was sold to someone else? All help appreciated.
