The Olivo surname have origines in Spain as well.I haven't been able to trace it there yet, but my father used to always tell me (and his grandfather told him) how the family was chased out of the Nuevo Leon and Cuahuila areas of Mexico in the early 1800's.
I am also looking for information regarding my family in Mexico. My Grandfather, Arnoldo Olivo (b. 1907), was born in Eagle Pass, TX.His father, Pedro Olivo (b. 1880), was born in Eagle Pass, TX.His father, Librado Olivo (b. 1850), was born in Cardenas, Nuevo Leon, MX.His father, D. Jose Angel Olivo, is where I'm stuck.I'm told he was from Spain but I have no confirmation (but may have lived in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon, MX).Many of the family settled in:Candela, Cd. Allende, Cuahuila and in Tamaulipas as well. I can place a lot of the siblings in between but would like more details .... help!
