Hi John,

I don't know if we match up but here is our tale...

My great grandaunt Annie O'Malley (or Malia etc) travelled to Bayard, Iowa with her brother William in 1876. I am the great grandson of Annie's brother Michael who stayed on in Ireland.

Annie qualified as a teacher and married John Cain/Kane I understand not long after she went to the US. Annie's direct descendents were reunited with us the year before last.

Annie had other siblings who also emigrated to the US, John, William, Sarah & Matthew. Her brother Thomas became a priest and I understand visited her and other siblings in the US. She had a sister Margaret who became a poor clare nun who is buried in Spokane.

Would be great to see if any of this correlates with your Annie...I have some other details about John & William - but sadly nothing on their descendents.

all the best and looking forward to hearing back!

Brian O'Malley
