When you start getting your feet wet with the details about the data from city directories, court records, church records, and such you will more than likely looking for William C. SR and his father in 1930 MI.You should be living when they release the 1940 census in 2020.
Anywho, check out NARA Series T626 Microfilm roll 1055 for Wayne Co MI; Precinct 1; Detroit city; Ward 17; Block 402; Enumeration District 82-554; Supervisor District 22; on page 125 (2) Sheet B and Line 84; Dwelling 34F; and Family 44; on 02 APRIL.
This should give you some idea of who to look for in the 1920, 1910, 1900 census.
Be sure to read all of the notations on those sheets within the form as well as in the margins.
William C. SR stated that his father was from Toronto but according to the 1930 census it was really his mother being the Canadian with Canadian roots. In this census the father states he was born in PA and his father born in IRE and his mother born in PA.
So be sure to expect anything stated in the census due to the long lasting effect of British Rule most Irish did not trust anyone who was recording data on them.
