O'Neil/O'Neal of VA., Tenn, Mo., & Texas
Hi:
I am descended from the family that origininated in Virginia in the 1700, fought in the Revolution, moved to Tennessee (and possibly other points in between such as N.C.)The have spelled their name alternately as O'Neale, O'Neil, O'Neal, and even O'Niel. Occasionally there are even more variations.
I am interested in the family of Darius O'Neil who married Mary Brackney and had 11 children. Of these, Nancy (b.1802)Joseph (1804)and Darius (b1823) stayed in Tenn.
George Washington (b May 29, 1822) moved first to Missouri, then to Texas. One daughter, Rachel (b. 1807), died on the way to Texas.
I am trying to find out what happened to Maria (1808), Harrison (1812), Henry (1816), John (1817), and Calvin (b.1818).
If these names exist in your family under ANY spelling of O'Neil, I would dearly enjoy exchanging information with you.
Susan
