I tried to see if I could find an obituary notice for Maxwell Telford. I did find a Maxwell Telford but he was born in Hawick, Scotland June 17, 1852 and died January 6, 1929. It does state that he was buried in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Maxwell Telford
Oregon City, Jan. 6.
Maxwell Telford, one of the most prominent men of Oregon City, died last night after a few days’ illness from pneumonia, following an attack of influenza.
Mr. Telford was born at Hawick, Scotland, June 17, 1852,. In 1876 he crossed the ocean to the United States, first settling in Boston, Mass. Remaining there for a short time he then went to North Dakota, where he took up a homestead. Forty-five years ago he came to Oregon City. For about 15 years Mr. Telford was employed by the Oregon City Manufacturing company and also engaged in farming.
Mr. Telford is survived by his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Telford of Oregon City; his sons and daughters, Maxwell Jr. of Albany, Or., William J. of Portland, Wallace R. of Boring, Malcom of Oregon City, John of Seattle, Wash., Misses Maxine and Grace of Oregon City.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at the Holman & Pace chapel. Interment will be in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery.
