Amanda Powers 79, resident of Grants Pass since 1911 die April 27 1946 at Josephine General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Mrs Powers was born April 9, 1867 at Arnoldsville Missouri. She married Vollie Powers there in 1883 and moved to Grants Pass in 1911. Mr.Powers died here in 1937.
She is survived by three sons, Archie, Oscar,and alfonse Powers. One daughter Mrs. Mattie Elliott all of Grants Pass as wellas by eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thirsday May 2 in the Hull and Hull chapel by Reverend Myers and Steele both of the Apostolic Faith Church of which Mrs Powers was a long member.
