Hi Don, THANKS for the update about the Library but that's about the saddest thing I've heard of lately.
The University of Oregon problably has them at http://libweb.uoregon.edu/general/gethelp.htm/ . Provide them all the details. They charge $30/hr for research with a minimum of $7.50/one obit. They charged me $7.50 the last time but I only requested one. Maybe you'll get two for the $7.50. Successful Hunting!
