Leonard's obituary (Creswell Chronicle, 24 May 1984, page 12) says:
"Leonard John Jensen Sr., a former instructor for VISTA at the University of Oregon, died Sunday at the age of 57.
Jensen, who was born Nov. 13, 1926 in Franklin, Minn., lived in the Creswell/Eugene area for 27 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Florence of Creswell; daughters Doris Bragge and Annie Lead of Washington, Joy Brandt and Toy Johnston of Cottage Grove, Rose Mary Carrillo of Salem, Leona Jensen of Creswell, Melody Flores of California, and Lorna Robinson of Wyoming; brothers Ruben Jensen of Washington and Lawrence Jensen of Minnesota; sisters Marie Summers and Vyna Reed of Washington; 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of England's Creswell Memorial Chapel."
