LUKE WILLIAMS SAVAGE MARRIED MARY "POLLY" TROUT
Luke Savage was born abut 1817 in Cooper County, Missouri
Died about 1889 in Grayson County, Texas

Mary "Polly" Trout was born about 1816 in Tennessee
No date of death for her. Asssume died in Texas?

No date of marriage for them but have to assume they were married in Missouri.

Children I have on file for Luke and Mary (Trout) Savage.

1. N. E. Savage born about 1843 in Missouri (Prob. Male ?)
2. Mary Savage born about 1845 in Missouri
3. Susan C. Savage born about 1848 in either Mo. Or Texas
4. William F. Savage born about 1850 probably in Texas
5. Martha A. Savage born about 1851 probably in Texas
Martha may have been Margaret Ann as per other listings
I have read.
6. M. P. Savage born about 1851 probably in Texas (Male?)
7. William Savage born about 1854 in Texas
Did the first William die?
8. Nancy Savage born about 1862 in Texas.

Luke Savage was the brother to my GGG Grandmother, Mary Savage who was born Oct. 16, 1810 in Missouri.
Mary Savage married James Williams who was born Dec. 14, 1803 in Kentucky.

Dr. John Mulkey Savage, Sister, Mary Savage Williams came to Oregon. John and Mary were siblings of Luke Savage.

Mother of John, Luke and Mary was Susannah Bolling who married William Savage.

Susanna Bolling was born in 1783 in South Carolina and she died in Grayson County, Texas.

Some the Savage/Williams families came to Oregon - Some went to Grayson County, Texas - and others stayed in Missouri.

The Savage/Williams families seemed to travel together - when they pulled up stakes and moved. It only was in Missouri when they seemed to go their seperate ways or at least part of them did.

The Savage/Williams families at times is difficult to trace as they married back and forth between these two families - which was very common back in those days.

You may contact me at karlene@wvi.com

Any corrections or additions to this family would be appreciated.

Respectfully Submitted
